Frequently Asked Questions

care home entertainment

Do you travel to my area?

Right now, Full Beam Shows in Homes are available for care homes, residential homes, day centres, cafés, dementia units and more, in the East and West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, and surrounding areas. Travel time of anywhere over 1 hour from Eastbourne may incur a slight fee, although we try to avoid this where possible. We are always expanding - and aim to have more performers available throughout the country by 2021.

Which show is best for my venue?

All of our shows are tailored for care homes, so whichever one you choose, you know that your residents are going to enjoy! Our soloist singers are perfect for venues with a little less space - although we have done our themed shows in a variety of different locations with no trouble! If you're unsure, please message our office, and we will be able to advise you as to which show would suit.

How do I book?

Our lovely team are waiting for your call! Telephone our office on 07964418169 to chat with Amy, or fill in our contact form with the details of what you require, and one of the team will be in touch as soon as they can.

What happens when I book?

When you place a booking, you'll receive an email with a confirmation link, and contract. You should click this link to secure your booking, and you'll also be able to download a poster from our website, to advertise your event! 4 weeks before your booking, you'll be sent the invoice, to be passed to the correct person at your venue. Payment is by bank transfer, cheque or cash, and we ask that it is paid within 30 days. We don't take any deposit on booking. It's important that if your home requires us to complete New Supplier Forms, they are sent to us as soon as possible. You can find a copy of our Public Liability Insurance on our Downloads page too.

I need to cancel my booking?

We totally understand that sometimes, plans need to be changed! We have a cancellation policy in place, which is detailed in your confirmation email. Cancellation within 28 days of the performance does result in a fee, unless the date is rebooked. This policy stands, even if the original person who made the booking has left the venue - so please make sure you keep the contract safe with your diary, just in case! In the case of illness resulting in no visitors to the home, we will work with you to rearrange for when residents are fit and healthy again, at which point no fee would be due. Our performers block off dates as soon as they are booked, and often have to turn down other work which comes in, so that they can perform for you. If this booking is cancelled, our performers are then out of pocket - so the cancellation fee goes to them. Our performers do this for a living, so it's important we keep them going!

Other important information

  • We only need one plug socket in order to set up our equipment - and we always arrive early so that we can do so. You should make sure that there is space for the show, and where possible for a Themed Show, make sure all residents are sat in front of the curtain, as opposed to the side, where they would see performers getting changed. The area should be free from hazards such as spilled liquids and avoid any walkway where residents are likely to pass where possible (to prevent wires getting in the way).
  • It's important to note that at no point should our performers be left in a room with residents, when no other member of care staff is present. All of our staff are DBS checked, but it is not a requirement by law that we have this, as we are not to be left on our own at any point.
  • Our equipment can be used outside, but only if sufficient shade is provided - if it is too hot, the sound system cuts out, which would stop the show, and we don't want that! A gazebo or tree area should be fine.
